Green Fest 2009
On May 16th, 2009, Berkeley Heights held its first Green Fest to celebrate its efforts to create a sustainable environment. It featured a variety of activities to show the Township’s commitment in making Berkeley Heights a more sustainable community. The Berkeley Heights GreenFest was an opportunity to educate the public and make them aware of what to do to lessen their carbon footprint on this planet. The Fest also provided information on expanding "green" practices. Encouraged by the success of this event, the Environmental Commission and Sustainability Team plan to organize another Green Fest next year.
